Paul Harvey

"The Rest of the Story" was often heard on our radio at home or on the road as a kid. Paul Harvey, who passed away this weekend at the age of 90, had a very distinct voice that I will forever remember. I read this story and discovered he had been telling us the rest of the story since 1951! I also learned a lot more about this great American news man. In 1976, Harvey began broadcasting his anecdotal descriptions of the lives of famous people. "The Rest of the Story" started chronologically, with the person's identity revealed at the end. The stories were an attempt to capture "the heartbeats behind the headlines." Paul Harvey will be greatly missed.
