We Live

Three years ago one of my former students died in a car accident. He was a very bright young man and had become a great friend and teammate to a lot of kids. He was an only son to his parents and would have been in the 9th grade that year. It was such a tragedy to lose this young man. He was so good. He was kind and caring and no one would say a bad word about him nor would he say a bad word about others. Every time I hear this song or see the video I think of him.

We never know when our time is up here on Earth. We are told in James 4, "13Now listen, you who say, 'Today or tomorrow we will go to this or that city, spend a year there, carry on business and make money.' 14Why, you do not even know what will happen tomorrow. What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. 15Instead, you ought to say, 'If it is the Lord's will, we will live and do this or that.'"

While we are here let us enjoy life and remember what life's all about.

We live we love
We forgive and never give up
Cuz the days we are given are gifts from above
And today we remember to live and to love
