Boldness of Peter and John in Acts 4 ~ These two unschooled men go in and let the religious leaders of the time “have it”. They won’t listen to the threats that the leaders give them about healing in the name of Jesus and go back and, instead of praying for protection that they might continue what they are doing, they pray for boldness. What?! I know if I was in that spot and I was sure that I would continue no matter what happened I would be praying for protection. What makes these two pray for boldness? They are filled with the Holy Spirit and they get back to work.

I pray that I will know what to ask for, because so many times I ask for the safe route. I don’t want to limit the Spirit by my timidity.
