Stars

I first heard Switchfoot back in 1999 when they had their second album out, New Way to be Human. They came to Atlanta and my brother and I went to their concert. They opened for Third Day and they did a wonderful job. I still remember it today. I was surprised how good they were for being relatively unknown. Back then it was just three of them; the Foreman brothers and Chad Butler.
Oh how they’ve “blown up” since then. They were the biggest thing in 2004. This album puts them back on top, it’s excellent. This track is one of the best and has a wonderfully creative video to go with it. My kids at school love them and they are a great influence for our next generation. They may not preach the good news in their music but I know they are grounded in their faith and they share it in subtle ways.
This song reminds me of how our Creator placed the stars in the heavens and knows each of them by name. That is so awesome!
